Portable LED screen beside a mobile food trailer at an event

A food trailer lives on footfall, and a bright screen beside it does two jobs: it shows the live match or entertainment that makes people stop and stay, and it runs your menu, prices and offers where the queue can see them. Done right, it lifts dwell time and average spend at exactly the moment people decide what to order.

EKINTRY supplies portable outdoor LED as a complete package — screen, freestanding stand, controller and flight cases. P3.91 IP65, 4,500 nits, from $180/panel — complete packages quoted factory-direct to your trailer size.

Who custom screens are for

  • Food trucks, trailers and mobile bars.
  • Street-food markets and event caterers.
  • Pop-up hospitality and festival vendors.
  • Operators who attend many sites and need it portable.

Beside the trailer, not bolted to it

You do not need to mount the screen onto the trailer. A freestanding portable screen placed beside the unit is safer for transport, more flexible for different sites, and easier to position for the crowd and the sun. It runs from the trailer’s power or a generator, and packs down into wheeled flight cases at the end of the night.

What size for a food-trailer pitch?

Match the size to how the crowd gathers. A compact screen works for a menu and close viewing; for live sport that draws people in, go bigger so the back of the crowd can see.

Pixel pitch and viewing distance — P3.91 is the benchmark

P3.91 (500×1000 mm die-cast cabinet) is the most popular outdoor rental pixel pitch because it hits the sweet spot between resolution and cost. At 4,500 nits and IP65 waterproofing, a P3.91 screen reads clearly in full daylight — menus, sport scores and branding stay legible even at noon. For audiences closer than 4 m, step up to P2.976 for noticeably smoother text; for long-distance advertising beyond 10 m, P4.81 saves cost without losing impact.

Outdoor and built to travel

A screen that moves between pitches needs to be tough and quick:

  • High brightness (≈4,000–6,000 nits) for daylight menus and sport.
  • Weather-resistant, outdoor-rated cabinets for rain and dust.
  • Tool-free fast-lock cabinets — set up and strike in minutes.
  • Wheeled flight cases that fit a van.
  • High refresh (3,840 Hz) so it looks clean on phones.

Cabinet options: RV Series vs XS Series

For a screen that is transported and rebuilt constantly, the XS Series — integrated power box, connector-pin power and signal, fewer cables — is cleaner, more stable and faster to set up than the more cable-heavy but cheaper RV Series. For a tighter budget, RV still works.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can an LED screen be used beside a food trailer?

Yes — a freestanding portable LED screen placed beside the trailer is usually better than fixing it to the unit. It is easier to transport, install and reposition for different event locations.

What size screen for a food-trailer pitch?

For a menu and close viewing, 2m × 2m works. To draw a crowd for live sport, 3m × 2m to 4m × 2m is better so the back of the crowd can see.

How is it powered at an event?

From the trailer’s power supply or a generator. We confirm the power draw for your size so you can plan the supply.

How quickly can one or two people set it up?

Tool-free fast-lock cabinets on a freestanding stand go up in minutes and pack into wheeled flight cases — no rigging crew needed.

Is it bright enough for daytime menus and sport?

Yes — at roughly 4,000–6,000 nits it stays readable in daylight, with a high refresh rate that looks clean on phones.

RV Series or XS Series for a mobile setup?

For frequent transport and rebuilds, XS is cleaner and easier to handle. For a tighter budget, RV is a practical choice.
