Custom LED Display Design: Engineering Non-Standard Shapes and Spaces
Have a drawing, a curve, a column, or a wall that no off-the-shelf panel fits? Send the shape. EKINTRY engineers the module layout, mounting frame and signal path — then quotes the build.
From US$100 — final price depends on your size, pixel pitch and finish. Contact us for an exact quote.
Most LED screen inquiries start with a size. This page is for projects that start with a shape — a curved reception counter, a cylindrical column, a façade wrap, an irregular wall recess, or a display that needs to disappear into the architecture. Standard rectangular panels do not solve these; engineered module layouts do.
Send a drawing, photograph or sketch. EKINTRY advises whether the shape needs rigid modules, flexible modules or a mixed build, designs the mounting frame and signal path, and quotes the engineered display factory-direct. If you just need a flat screen built to a specific size, see the custom LED screens page instead.
Who custom screens are for
- Architects and interior designers specifying a display for a designed space.
- Brand and retail fitout teams needing a display shaped to a bespoke installation.
- Museums, hospitality and exhibition venues with curved walls, columns or recesses.
- System integrators with engineering drawings who need factory-direct panels and mounting.
Rigid vs flexible modules — the shape decides
The single most important engineering decision is module type. Getting it wrong means a curve that buckles, seams that gap or a build that cannot be serviced. We advise the right choice from your drawing.
- Rigid modules — flat surfaces, recessed wall installs, standard-angle corners.
- Flexible / soft modules — continuous curves, cylinders, columns, concave and convex wraps.
- Mixed builds — flat main face with curved transitions or accent elements.
- Serviceable design — modules accessible from front or back depending on the installation.
The engineering package — what we deliver with the build
An engineered display needs more than modules. For non-standard projects we provide:
- Module layout drawing — how panels tile across the shape.
- Mounting frame specification — custom or standard profile to suit the structure.
- Power and signal routing plan — cable paths, receiver card placement.
- Pixel pitch selection — by closest viewing distance (P0.9–P6+).
- Touch or sensor integration where needed.
How the design process works
Share a drawing, photograph or rough dimensions and the closest viewing distance. We return a module type recommendation, a buildable layout sketch and an indicative budget within a few days. Once the layout is confirmed, we produce a firm quote and begin engineering.
Panels only, or a complete engineered build
Integrators with their own fabrication team can take panels and a mounting spec and build the installation themselves. For clients without that capability, we supply the complete engineered build — modules, custom frame, controller and content system — packed for export and supported through commissioning.
| Module type | Rigid · flexible / soft · mixed |
|---|---|
| Pixel pitch | P0.9 – P6+ by viewing distance |
| Shapes | Flat · curved · cylinder · column · freeform |
| Engineering | Mounting frame · power & signal layout |
| Integration | Optional touch / sensor / content system |
Send us your project details

- The surface type (flat, curved, column, wrap, recess).
- Closest viewing distance.
- Indoor or outdoor.
- Whether you need panels only or a complete engineered build.
- Delivery country.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you build a custom-shaped LED display?
Yes — curves, cylinders, columns, façades and freeform shapes are possible with flexible or mixed modules. Send a drawing or photo and we advise what is buildable and serviceable.
What is the difference between rigid and flexible LED modules?
Rigid modules suit flat walls and fixed installs; flexible (soft) modules bend for curves, columns and wraps. Many projects mix both — a flat main wall with curved accents.
Do you provide engineering drawings?
For engineered projects we can provide pixel pitch selection, mounting frame guidance and power/signal layout so installation is predictable.
How is pixel pitch chosen for a custom display?
By the closest viewing distance — roughly 1 m of distance per 1 mm of pitch. Close-up art pieces use ultra-fine pitch (P0.9–P1.5); larger or distant displays use coarser pitch to control cost.
Can the display include touch or sensors?
Yes — touch, gesture, sensors and content-management integration can be designed in depending on the build and use case.
Are you a custom LED display manufacturer?
Yes — EKINTRY manufactures the LED display panels and supplies factory-direct, so you get manufacturer pricing and support rather than a reseller bundling third-party modules.
Can I buy just the custom LED display panels?
Yes — we supply bare panels for your own integrator to build, or a complete solution with the controller, mounting and content system specified to work together.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes — factory-direct worldwide, with wooden-case packing, spares, install documents and remote setup support.
